# DAO + Governance

## What is DAO & How’s Work?

A "DAO" (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is a group of individuals who voluntarily adhere to predefined rules encoded within the organization. What sets DAOs apart is their reliance on code-based governance systems to achieve collective goals.

## How GENESIS DAO Work?

To join the DAO, you must acquire and stake a specific amount of $GENESIS in our pool. Once staked, you gain access to the voting mechanism.

Genesis implements a unique approach to retrieve capital from deployed tokens, ensuring decentralized fund handling. DAO members, referred to as "Miners," can monitor tokens using Genesis Liquidity on our dashboard and vote to return capital to the pool if it's being utilized inefficiently.

Token emissions incentivize participation in the voting system.

Stay tuned for more benefits and perks as we announce them post-launch.
